About We-Ko-Pa Golf Club - Cholla Course (Fountain Hills, AZ)
Located in Fountain Hills, on the east edge of Scottsdale, We-Ko-Pa (the Yavapai pronunciation for "Four Peaks Mountain") presents a unique alternative to the already upscale Scottsdale golf market. Designed by noted golf course architect Scott Miller, the golf course was created to play a challenging 7,225 yards from the back tees, but with multiple tee boxes that are well spaced to cater to players of all calibers. In addition, there are no -- nor will there ever be -- residences on the golf course, yielding some of the most dramatic and natural views of the surrounding mountain ranges including the Four Peaks, McDowell Mountains, Red Mountains and the Superstitions.

Marc (Saint-Lazare, QC) says:
Absolute best golf course of the vacation. Will try to fit in both course at We-Ko-Pa next time. Unbelievable course conditions, how do they get the grass so green in the middle of the desert!

Bill (Montpelier, VT) says:
Best course conditions of all that we played. Difficult first time course as there are a lot of "blind" shots off the tee. The fact that carts were not allowed off the cart path slowed tha pace of play to the point that it was a major impact on the enjoyment of the round. If they are not going to allow carts, they should have paths on both sides of the fairways. Best course conditions but not my first pick for return play.

A premier place to play and enjoy. A bit pricey.

Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful course but not what it's hyped up to be. I find that it is over priced.

Robert (Kitchener, ON) says:
Cart path only could be looked at makes the round take a little longer but a great course none the less

Lyn (Paducah, KY) says:
As an older group, all right at fifty years old, cart path only golf with very wide fairways is too tiring and slow if shots don't finish near the paths. Wind conditions on the day of play were brutal-in excess of 30mph. Never thought I'd complain about too wide landing areas, but I guess I just did.
