Whirlwind Golf Club is truly a unique southwest golf experience. Both courses at Whirlwind, Devil's Claw and the new Cattail, were sensitively designed to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Gila River Indian Community. An annual host to the Nationwide Tour Gila River Classic at Wild Horse Pass, Whirlwind is the work of golf course architect Gary Panks. 09/23/2008 - I've played both Cattails and Devil's Claw. Two of the most beautiful and picturesque courses that we played. Immaculate conditions and perfect pace of play. A definite must play. Posted by Dan (Belle River, ON)
05/05/2008 - I would recommend Whirlwind Devil's Claw and Cattail to every one. We enjoyed this course so omuch that we decided to play Cattail. They we're both pristine with manicured fairways and lovely greens, probably the best I've seen. I would go back here tomorrow. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. 04/30/2007 - MIGHT PLAY THIS ONE AGAIN, TOO TRICKED UP. NOT AS PLAYABLE AS CATTAIL. NEED TO PLAY THIS ONE MANY TIMES TO KNOW WHERE TO HIT ON SOME HOLES. Posted by Bill (Hazlet, NJ)
04/02/2007 - We loved this facility and the golf course. Although it was a bit more of a drive with morning rush hour traffic, it was well worth it. We were paired up with a couple whom were wonderful to play golf with, and just enjoyed the whole time. We also enjoyed a great breakfast at their restauran, be sure to stop by before or after golf for a great meal.
